Complaint about Marek Jantos Ph.d.

No: HE is not registered! Check it here:

Yes; he is really doubtfull:

Or check out this:

The first complain in this blog will be a report about Marek Jantos who is specialised in vulvodynia. (He works in private clinics in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Merbourne)

This guy suppose to be a doctor specialized in chronic pelvic/vulval pain, or vulvodynia.
At the first look, anyone would think he is a gynecologist.
He promises that he would heal you and give you a relief from vulvodynia, or any chronic vulval or pelvic pain.

You would never dare to go to a stranger and let him tig you down there. So, if you live in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide : DO NOT visit MAREK JANTOS.

Actually this guy has not got the necessary qualification and is not a registered doctor, specially not a gynecologist.
(after searching on the internet you could see him grinning on the Adelaide University website as a pshichology student:)

BE AWARE OF MAREK JANTOS !!!

He is NOT a vulvodynia specialist. He is not a specialist of anything! He is even not a doctor, specially not a gynecologist. He can't prescribe you any medicine. (as he is not a doctor, haaaalloooo!!!)

But the worst thing is, he had very-very bed comlplaints.
Do you think it's an accident? It not an accident.

If I just think about lying on his examining table, I get scared.
Just ask a real gynecologist with a wide range of knowledge.

An other thing: Do you want to know what is the secret of wealth?

  1. Find a market, preferably not too busy.
  2. Find your target
  3. Talk bullshit, lie about your qualification and experience
  4. Publish something in many presses and have a lot of advartisment
  5. Make a website with great google search

At the and we can use it on Marek Jantos, who is not a gynecologist and NOT specialised on vulvodynia or chronic pelvic or vulva pain.:

  1. volvodynia is a great market. There are not to many specialist in Sydney, Adaleide, Melbourne, Perth, so around Australia
  2. find really desprerate women who had suffer from vulvodynia for many years. Who would pay any money to get rid of the pain
  3. you must tell everyone, that you are the best in your field. Basic thing is to have a degree, a PH.D in medicine. Just write PH.D on you business card and on your website: Like: Marek Jantos Ph.D (even if you have a Ph.D in economics you can use it, as no one would recognise it!!! If you are not registered practitioner, AHPRA, you can still work. ( I have no idea how!!!)
  4. write articels about a deseases like vulvodynia, what acually non of the scientist of the whole world can explain. Tell that you know the solution, and you have a super machine (what you can buy for a few dollars on the e-bay), what solves all the problem. It could call biofeedback.
  5. make a website, what your target could visit and make an appointment with you.
At the end, they belive you are a super hero, a specialised gynecologist who is a real doctor and has an incomparable machine.
You can see the patients and smile in their face when you ask for your consultation fee. The amount could be 200-225 dollars.

As an extra money in you pocket: you get 75 dollars for a trial of the so called biofeedback and give it to rent for 85 dollars a month.
It means 300 $ from one person, for 30 minutes. (because you would see you payer once in every month)

You could earn more money than a lawer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can have 5-10 patients a day, who are suffering from chronic vulval pain / vulvodynia, or just looking for a gynecologist in Sydney, Brisbane, Adalaide, Perth, so anywhere in Australia.
It means 1500-3000 dollars per a day!:D Better than your salary?!:)

The only thing what you need to be aware of: Don't write any precsription. Because you are not allowed to. As you are not a registered doctor.
BUT!!! You can call yourself as a chronic pain consultant:D Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh!

Don't support liars and don't trust them.

Come to my clinic, as I will open one wih the same conditions. I wanna be a doctor, I wanna be proud of myself.

And no worries! I will publish some articles, maybe some books, write Ph.D after my name, and I will tell stories, that I have cured 1000-s of women with vulvodynia.

I won't be able to analize you, give a real diagnoses, write priscriptions. But who cares?!?!
If you will pay my bill, you will belive, that you are already better.

  1. I completely disagree with all that has been written here about Marek Jantos. I was a patient of Mareks for 9 months and not once did I find him inappropriate nor untoward.

Marek will honestly admit that he is not a Doctor nor is he trying to be. He has incredible knowledge in the field of vulva pain and how to relieve it for women. He educates and advises his patients correctly and honestly.

If it wasn't for Marek, I would still have Vulva pain, and after 6 years of Vulva painI can thank Marek for all the hard work and persistence in helping me to full recovery.

  2. Good grief woman, get a life!

I know for a fact that he has help thousands of woman suffering from Vulvodynia where gynecologists have no idea. When you say 'specialized' what do you mean by that? Would you kindly place a link where Marek could go to get 'specialized' in this field? It doesn't exist! Let me tell you though that when the education comes out where people can become 'specialized' in the treatment of Vulvodynia, Dr Jantos will be heading up the education. In my opinion there is none that is better qualified than him in this field.

And you're talking financial benefit? Wow - that's aimed a bit low! However lets do the sums. You have surgery with a proctologist where a 45 minute session lands him over $1,500 and the problem isn't always fixed. An intensive session with Dr Jantos is $300 and people who have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on other treatments (not to mention loss of income being unable to work due to the pain) see more benefit in one session with Dr Jantos than in all other sessions with other practitioners combined.

I think that Dr Jantos is incredible and he unfortunately cops a lot of idiots like the writer of this page who doesn't understand what he does. It may not be mainstream yet, but research is currently being carried out where the pain patterns that he is discovering is being mapped and research papers are being created. Hopefully one day Dr Jantos will be not only recognized but revered by the general public for the incredible work he has carried out on his own.

Boo to you! And good luck with "making your life better" - tell me, have you found a cure for Vulvodynia? All I know is that I have been married to my wife for 9 years and only now are we starting to enjoy a healthy sex life thanks to Dr Jantos.

    1. This is a terrible way to speak to someone who has obviously been through a horrible experience. The fact that you are able to rationalise someone who is not a doctor doing an internal is beyond belief. It goes against every ethical, moral and legal code of conduct I can think of.

    2. P.s. $300 for a session .... um that is staggering. The top doctors (yes, doctors!) in Vic that I see would NEVER EVER charge that much. And if you go through the public system ... it's FREE.

  3. I agree, get a life!

Dr Jantos helped me when no one else would believe me. Yep the plain old boring qualified Dr's would not believe a word I said. I went through years of pain and embarrassment until I met him and I offered to be a part of his studies so I can help him help other women who have been through what I have been through. I don't care how much he earns he helped me over come VVS and I am happy I found him! He changed my life. So pipe down and get a life. If you have VVS perhaps you should visit him and if you don't then do not judge because I have actually been there!

  4. I have met him once - and he is the ONLY person who actually LISTED all my sypmtoms and told me WHY they happen and give me an ANSWER hwo to fix them.

The so called DOCTORS AND SPECIALISTS - told me I had an infection... .I DONT. I've had multiple tests and antibiotics.

Then they told me it was in my Head.... How insulting.

I will be seeing Marek for intensive treatment ASAP.

  5. This complaint is so uneducated and inaccurate, slanderous and very poorly written. Am I biased? Yes. I am one of the many women for whom he has provided therapy, and after a decade of pain and dyfunction I am able to manage my symptoms and enjoy intimacy in a way I never thought would be possible. He has never been inappropriate, always disclosed that he is not a medical practitioner nor a psychologist. As for the cost - the appointments are an hour in length, and during that time you receive therapy that is hands on. He does not make claims about a magical machine. He uses biofeedback as a small part of therapy. It is a shame that you would make uneducated comments that could potentially scare other women off from approaching his clinic for assistance, you do a great disservice. Is he registered? No. Does he make claims that he is? No. Is he respected by professionals in the field? Yes. I could name dozens of General Practitioners, Gynecologists, Urologists, and Urogynecologists that refer patients to him on a regular basis. He is respected internationally, is regularly invited to speak at conferences and present original research papers. This information is received with enthusiasm, and has been denoted as "cutting edge" and "highly relevant". We should be thankful that he has not allowed the defaming statements made by people like yourself to get to him - otherwise thousands of women would be without his help and where would we be? We would be stuck in the biomedical model of medicine swallowing antidepressants for our depressed vaginas, rubbing antidepressant cream on our vulvas, and having laporoscopy and cystocopy on and on without finding pathology to explain the pain. We would be having pudendal nerve decompressions, we would be having vestibulectomies, botox, and other expensive and invasive treatments that more often than not prove to be ineffective. I am grateful for his research, for his commitment, for his passion despite the odds that people like yourself throw at him. I agree, get a life, and as much as I despise your comments I wish you all the best and that your vulva stops burning and that your bladder does not continue to cause you pain.

    1. It sounds like there are some vested interests at play here. I would encourage anyone reading this to fact-check the claims made as many of them are wrong and not supported by available evidence/research. I don't believe that you are one of his patients.

  6. I worked in the field of vulval conditions for a many years and belonged to an international society that specialises in such conditions ( I am now retired). I co-authored a book on the same topics with other Australian specialists. I can authoritatively tell you that there are many causes for vulva pain and other symptoms. To fully diagnose a woman's condition she needs to have a thorough history taken, including previous treatments, time of onset of symptoms, stress and sexual history and self treatment and hygiene history. Then a physical examination and then smears, swabs or biopsies taken for laboratory investigation. Symptoms can be caused by excessive treatments and use of lotions or excessive hygiene (dermatitis), disease states (eg. autoimmune conditions, cancer, infections), trauma (both physical and chemical), psychological and sexual difficulties (lack of arousal, use of lubricants, excessively tight muscles, previous abuse or psychological trauma), just to name a few. There are many medical specialist in Australia but finding one who has experience and knowledge in good diagnostic techniques and who is conservative in their treatment is difficult. Go to a G.P and get a referral to either a gynaecologist or a dermatologist and insist on having samples taken for lab. testing and wait for results before commencing treatment. If you are using local medication be clear of them for about a week before visiting the specialist. Please be careful about who you see and ensure that person is qualified.

    1. Couldn't agree more. The Royal Women's in Vic has a whole clinic dedicated to vulvar disorders - a whole team of specialists. It's my personal belief that this man preys on women when they are at their most vulnerable. Conditions take time to treat and it's a distressing process. All we want is to be told that we can be cured and quickly. But vulvar disorders are complicated.

  9. Please don't trust this man Marek Jantos above. He has a past filled with mis-treatment of women. He is very dangerous because he so firmly believes himself over everyone else including you. If someone or some authority doesn't agree with him they are stupid and he puts this idea into some patients minds as you can see above. People are not stupid if they make educated choices about their treatment. Blogs like this are indeed helpful and courageous. Look at the evidence not the spelling. And if you do go see this man take a friend or partner with you and don't be alone unless you record with your phone. He will not mistreat all his patients because that is not good business, but it's possible he could try with a few that he believes he might get away with mistreating. Don't be that precious woman. Medical doctors have had proper training this man has not. Even though you are in pain please think again. We do need to realise that sadly some men have no personal restraint when in contact with vulnerable women. So take action to protect yourself or your wife. What made him even think of doing this as a job? Especially since he has committed past ofences toward women. HE IS NOT A TRAINED MEDICAL DOCTOR AND IS A DISBARRED PHSYCOLOGYST. Don't stop thinking and making your own personal choices.

  11. I saw Marek Jantos when I was at a very low point in my VVS journey. I cannot stress enough, to any woman suffering from this condition, to recognise the importance of going through the correct treatment channels. I was unfortunately examined by this person who I thought was a pain specialist - only to find out after that he is a deregistered psych and has no right to be claiming the things he does or to be propping himself up as someone who can help when he does not have the required qualifications to do so. My recommendation is to go to see a GP and ask them to refer you to a specialist in the area. Ensure that you don't let your emotions take over your rationality - which is what I did and regret. When I think back on the experience I feel violated and cannot fathom how I allowed myself to be examined against my better judgement, all with the hope that this person could help get rid of a condition which is at best debilitating. There is hope, but through the correct medical channels. Peace x

    1. Hi, I experienced something similar to what you described; I felt violated and yet also a bit crazy because he justified everything that he did. I am wondering if anyone also experienced unwanted arousal that made them feel uncomfortable as a result of his examination/treatment, of if you felt his touch was sexualised in any way. I am trying to make sense of it. Please email me at saxonrhone@gmail.com
      Thank you.

  13. I was a patient of Marek Jantos when I was 17 years old. I’m now 30.
I did not know at the time that he was a de registered Psycologist.
If I had known that he was not a doctor then I’m sure myself and my parents would have not let me continue to be violated by him.

Women with vulvodynia and chronic pain in this area are desperate and vulnerable.
I believe he takes advantage of that.

He lost his licence as a Psycologist in 2007 for misconduct.
    He continued practicing illegally.
He was then fined $16,000 in 2016 as he continued to advertise as having a medical degree and give pelvic massages using his fingers, hands and different instruments.
    He is still practicing.

I specifically remember the way I felt and the questions he asked being incredibly inappropriate and irrelevant about how strong my orgasms were.
    I was a child.
    He was an adult.

It does not matter how you reword this or try to make it sound, the facts are he is not qualified to be doing this and in my opinion if this was a true passion of his he would obtain the relevant qualifications.

There have been many many women coming forward to complain around the inappropriate touching and conversation marek engaged in with them.

    Wake up
